What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is the way to experience trance, natural mental and physical states which we actually visit every day. It can feel like daydreaming or it can feel exciting and focused! One of the advantages of the hypnotic state is that you will be more fully focused on the particular issue that we are working on, bringing clarity and understanding that was previously unattainable.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
When you are in a hypnotic trance, you are not actually asleep. You are, however, often very relaxed and quite alert to everything that is going on. Even if I were to leave, you would eventually surface on your own, feeling fine.
Will you take control of me when I am in trance?
No, I will not. In fact, I will help you gain control over your thoughts, emotions, actions and reactions. Think of it as more of a place where you become “in choice” and I’m your tour guide.
How many sessions will I need?
This can vary on the presenting issue or situation so can be between 2-5 sessions
Is Hypnotherapy safe?
Hypnosis is completely safe and as natural as daydreaming. It is simply a process of deep relaxation, using your inner resources and creative imagination. You are in control throughout. Hypnosis is now becoming very popular with medical professionals because of its safe, effective with quick results.
